Does anyone out there know of a good KVM Switch? I bought an active switch from London Drugs for $69 and it works, and there is now ghosting on the video, but I am getting mouse and keyboard lag. Like when you highlight some items by holding the ctrl key down and select with the mouse. Plus UT 3 is VERY ANOYING!
Let me know if anyone has a suggestion, and if possible WHERE it can be purchased from.

I use it to switch between the second display for my XP system, my Debian box, and a couple test machines. Works great and no ghosting.

Posted by: BSpudd at August 26, 2003 10:59 PMI was just doing some experimenting with settings on the switch I bought. Seeems all the lag at this point can be reproduced easily by holding the shift or ctrl key down while selecting, or doing anything with the mouse. Gets rather choppy.

The only problem I have is occasionally one or the other will lose the mouse. Normally it's when I do something like switch to linux while in the console, or something odd like that. If it's the Linux side that breaks you just have to go to the console (ctrl-alt-f1) and back to X (alt-f7), but if it's windows you're hooped. Doesn't happen often, but it sucks to have to reboot both boxes to fix the problem. No ghosting or lag that I've seen either.
