Ok, I am trying to figure things out here; they discover Saddam in what most would call a underground prison cell, with the luxuries of a ground hog. Now they are going to take him, properly cloth, shaves, bath, feed, and keep him in good health.
Should they not have simply kept him in the hole? Of better yet just put a rather large chuck of rock on top of the entrance?
I mean sure, I guess they could try to get him to talk, but wouldn't that have become a given if he were sealed in a hole? I mean apparently he put his hands up and surrendered, seal him in there and would he not sing?
Just a thought, I am big on not wasting good money on shit.
Posted by Muckhead at December 16, 2003 11:02 AMIt must have disappointed Gov. Bush to capture him alive, as it would be much cleaner to have had him die somehow. It'll be pretty hard to have him disappeared now as well. Now they have to try him, or rather, let the iraqie people or an international body try him, and all that other messy stuff.
Posted by: Arcterex at December 16, 2003 01:03 PMOh I think Bush would have been pleased to revover nothing more than DNA.
I just think that there is so much hype, turn the bastard over to the UN / Iraqies and let him face the crimes he has commited agiant humanity. Or save the country that is in ruin the money and just put him back in his hole.
