Today I kicked it up a notch starting my added cardio weight training. Basically I have returned to an old haunt, The Cheam Centre YMCA. I started out light with 20 minutes on the bike and only 4 stations of weights, started feeling a little shaky so I went home.
After the first official 2 weeks on Atkins I have lost about 16 pounds, it is weird because I have read less than that on the scale but i lost then gained some back. The important thing is 2 inches off my waist in just 2 weeks.
So I plan to still walk every day, even on the cardio weights days, I am determined to loose before I turn 40, or die trying. Only about 90 pounds to go..
Posted by Muckhead at March 29, 2004 10:45 AMMost impressive. I haven't dove into Atkins yet, as I've heard both great and bad things about it. Also having an SO who likes to cook good food doesn't help, as I like eating her cooking and she likes making it, and if you're going to do atkins you have to both do it (I think anyway, to keep sane). However, my new weight training is going well. Nothing to report yet, but I've only gone two or three times so far. It feels good though, heart rate is up for the entire time not up and down. IIRC you were doing this at one point as well (heart rate up through the sets).
