No Long a 300 club member

Well it is official, I have now lost 60 lbs and I am no longer a member of the 300 plus club.

You see (I don't know if I mentioned this), I started the weight loss at a weight of 360 lbs. I now weight 298. I still have 40lbs to go until I reassess things with the doctor and my trainer, but I think I have done awesome. I said before that I would not really think I have accomplished anything until I have no "3" in front of the other 2 digits on the scale.

WELL NOW I HAVE DONE IT!

I start a more rigorous weight program next week. Terrina (my trainer), is putting me on an advanced separate program devoting an entire workout to upper body and another to lower body. I was doing weight training 3 times a week and cardio training 4 times, but that will be reversed to 2 days upper, 2 days lower, 3 days cardio.

My initial goal was to lose 100 lbs; I know that is within my grasp, I am now trying to decide just how far I am going to take it. I will be posting some before and after photos soon.

Damn SPAMers

I have finally become victim of MT SPAM on a larger degree than just a few here and there. The last 2 days I have been hit with 460+ (yesterday), and over 400+ comment SPAM hits.

I am really glad at this point that I took the time to install MT-Blacklist, which take only but a few minutes to install but save hours of time. IT took about 5min or less both times to clear out all bad content.

Damn all those with this sickness! !

Strange MS-IE Thing?

I was just pointed out that my thumbnail pics don't show up on in MS-IE. Yet if you go to the archives and pic a month they do. Very strange that they don't show up on the main page where I posted them (the most recent being the big 10 inch floppy).

If anyone else cannot see the thumbnails please let me know and I will investigate it further.

Or if anyone else knows what the frick I am doing wrong please, enlighten me.

So I wipped out my big 10 inch!

my big ten inch?
At least as Aerosmith would put it.

Well, as it turns out, my big ten inch is only an 8.5.

I commented on I Feel Old Now last night thinking I am in the possession of my big 10 inch floppy, and it turns out that I seem to have made it out as something it is not. Of course 8.5 is nothing to sneeze at.

Photo Month to Start

Ok, so I started it off with the suggestion, so where's the photos? Well I have been busy the last few days and have decided to start the month of July as Photo Month. I have created the trackback to Speakeasy
, so everything is in place. I figured that it was a little weird starting off near the end of the month. Almost as weird as the way tiggersol
spelt my name , but that is another issue
:)

So, I am taking the camera out with me on my travels and taking pictures like a mad man. They will be posted soon

Photo Week/Month ?

I was thinking that it was a lot of fun last year when we all did the photo of the day thing. So I want to see if there is any interest to do this again? I got a new 5.1 MP camera a few weeks ago, and although it is - start - deep feelings of envy nothing like what some of us own - end - deep feelings of envy I am capable of clicking the little button that stores pictures to memory (oh, and I have learned that it comes with a cable that allows you to download the pictures to the computer, neat huh).

Note: I proposed this once before and no one said much, so if anyone else wants to re-propose it on their blog, feel free.

Sucking the Big One

At golf that is!

I can't seem to get in a decent round this year. Oh sure I have had tremendous shots, even some fabulous ones, but just can't seem to put it together.

I missed a putt last men's night for what would have been about $150. They have a double deuce pot going; anyone who gets two "2's" in a row wins it.

So, this afternoon, Clayton and I stopped at number 12 and fished out about 30 golf balls out of the pond. Sometimes the sun hits it just right and you can see them, and of course there was nobody behind us for a few holes so we scooped away.

Not A Lot to Say

Not really much to say lately, I have been up to no good as usual. I have now reached the 50lb mark for weight loss and as usual I have semi-plateued again. It seems to happen ever 10 pounds or so, I sort of stall at the turn of the tens digit a bit( so to speak), but still I loose inches. I have now lost 6 inches off my waist, which is quite dramatic. I am now getting noticed and complimented by so many people. Talk about a boost to my self esteem.

I am still myself though, and will not be really happy until I have gotten under a certain mark, (which is about 10 pounds away). I also have 50 pounds to go to reach my eventual goal, but I know if I keep it up I will get there.

The little things are getting noticed now, like the way I have to club down one club again. A few years ago I had to go up one club while golfing because I lost some distance. Well now I can smack’em again. I am hitting some long balls with irons and my driver. Whooo Hooo !

New Driver

Fore!Apparently big is better!

I just had to put this one up, I saw it this weekend in a golf mag and I was laughing for quite awhile.

As far as golf goes this weekend you could say the weather held us off. Tee times were booked but I had a garage sale to deal with Saturday, and it started pissing any way. Sunday was wet as well, maybe next week seems more promising.

It all comes down to one game

This is it, for all the marbles, and I just want to say that no matter what happens I think The Flames are winners. They, unlike some of the higher paid teams (that have wimpy Swedes that whine and complain), they did it with heart.

Way to Go Flames! ! ! !

Of course it would be nice to have the cup in Canada, and I am not predicting a loss, but they are a real hockey team.

Do or Die; but not Quite

It has been a few years, and being a true Canadian, I do not easily forget how long but do not utter the number due to its burning effect on the pallet. It cannot be denied though, it was just a matter of time that it became a reality, I think it all started when the Great One, Wayne Gretzky made the big move to the LA Kings. He started the migration of big talent to go south and Lord Stanley's Cup was not too far to follow. Yes I am talking about the fact that it has been a long time since a Canadian Team has held the cup above their heads in victory.

The Flames have two chances to do tonight, the first of which is tonight in Calgary, it would be so glorious to see the cup won on Canadian soil, and kept here. Sure I would have loved to see Vancouver be the team to win it, and eventually this may be a reality. I won’t go into that as I am still bitter with the half ass Swede that wears the "C" on his jersey for the lame comments he made about "not having the team to do it?.

Calgary is doing the country proud, win or loose they are playing with the heart and soul that make this Canadian Game. Do us proud Flames, job well done.
