Willing To Try Anything

I just got hit again with about 200+ comment SPAM entries. I am now open to suggestions on how i am going to solve this problem. I know some people were suggesting this and that, what is now the best solution?

This time is was real sick stuff too, the kind of stuff I have been filtering and fighting for my kids not to see online. I mean I am very strict with them and when they are online 80% of the time one of us is close by. Well if all they have to do is go to Daddy's BLOG, or check email and see that Daddy has received over 200 comment confirmations from these sites and I have lost the battle.

Suggestions anyone?

Note To Self

When doing DB presses on a reverse incline bench with 45lb DBs, keep your thumbs tucked in when lying down with the weights.

OUCH!

IT is kind of embarrassing actually, because you don't want to jump around and draw attention to yourself.

Gee... I guess I just did.

One of those days

Today is one of those days where you have a hard enough time getting out of bed let alone going to the gym. First off a clarification on the last post, I want to loose 100b pounds by Christmas, not before. I keep wavering between 80-85 pounds of weight loss, although I am still loosing inches.

Sometimes you just don’t feel like going to the gym though. My present lower body workout takes anywhere from 2 - 3 hours depending on how busy the gym is. The upper body takes about a half hour less, so Monday being the start of the week and lower body I am looking now (cause I got up late), at almost noon before I return home.

Oh well, at least I still have the time to do it.

Empty again

It seems like it has been awhile since my last post, especially since I have an empty looking page. Well here it is then:

I have sort of plateued on the weight loss thing, but I have however continued to loose inches. The total is now over 54 inches of accumulated weight loss and I am as of this week starting to loose weight once again.

My goal now is to loose 100 pounds by Christmas.

More to come, including some before and after pictures as earlier promised.

Pretty Tame Thanksgiving

We had the 'Outlaws" over and cooked our turkey on Sunday freeing up yesterday to just kick back and not do really much at all. Tyler and I went fishing on the Vedder/Chilliwack River.

Now there's opening a can of worms!

Tyler Fishing
I can remember fishing the river when I was Tyler’s age (10 years old), and you could pretty well fish anywhere. When I got older and started fishing with my buddy Chris, we could generally fish any day anywhere. The last 5-10 years have seen a great increase in fishermen on the river, and it is now to the point where all the good spots are fished by so many guys it is ridiculous. I mean standing 5 ft from another guy, having to cast over your head and hope the guy next to you is as good at it as you or you will be wearing a hook is not my idea of fun.

Today I always end up fishing in a shity spot on purpose so I don't have to battle the crowds, as you can see in the picture of Tyler; there was nobody around where we decided to fish. There is an situational advantage at times that a lot of the out of towners will walk right by some spots and go to the crowded ones because " they gotta be getting fish up there, look at all the guys".

What really gets me is the garbage! I wear a big ass fishing vest, most do, the point here is; you can fit a candy wrapper, a pop can, or whatever you carried out to the river back to your car or at least to a garbage can. The river is littered, and most of the time it is the out of town-ers that do it, many of which just don't care.

Well there's a rant!

Autumn Hike

leaf jumper
It was such a fantastic day yesterday I couldn’t sit around and let it go to waste. So, I got up early, went to the gym and worked out for a few hours, came home and updated the Blog, then went for a hike with Tyler.

The trail was totally awesome, as it was covered, you might even say littered with leaves. This is my favourite time of year; the mountains are alive with colour. After we reached the end of the trail (Teapot Hill), we decided to stop at a spot where the leaves were almost a foot thick on the trail and made a huge leaf pile so Tyler could jump in it. Okay for the record, I DIDN"T JUMP IN IT (although I was tempted). So here is a picture taken as Tyler was hitting the pile.

My Birthday Party

Golfing on Jack DanielsWell here is the Web Album I promised of my 40th b-Day party. I will also put a link on the side so it is easy to get to for awhile. Shaaron decided to go all out for my 40th birthday and have a big get together.

Well it started with a private Golf Tournament at The Club, incidentally it was a glorious sunny day, an absolutely perfect day for it Anyway, we had a 18 hole golf tourney the results of which are as follows:

    Top Team Overall Score
  • Gary Enright

  • Danna Epp

  • Bill Hawkins

Long Drive and Closest to the Pin
  • Ladies Long Drive - Tracy Larden
  • Ladies KP - Tracy Larden
  • Men's Long Drive - Dana Epp
  • Men's KP - Barry Gray

Okay, for the record, I did out drive Dana on the long drive, by almost 40 yards, but it was my second shot, and despite the fact that it was my party, I had to be honest and give him the prize.

After the golf we all met at the Chilliwack Fish and Game Protective Association Club Hall, for burgers and drinks, and fun.

I know I had fun, and I would like to thank all those that came out, or tried to. I had a lot of fun with my very best friends.

Thanks....
