New Years Web Album

I know I told a bunch of you around the holidays that I would be posting a Web Album of New Years, since I took like 170 + pictures that night.

So I got around to it as I said I would eventually, here is the link. I have also put a link to it at the bottom left hand side menu under the heading Muckhead Specs.

Cheers

Making Some Changes

I think i will be making some changes to my site, it has been a while since I have looked into the upgrading to the latest Movable Type. SPAM has slowed to a crawl lately on the site as well (watch I will get DUMPED ON NOW), which was one of the main reasons I looked into the upgrade in the first place.

So over the next week(s) I will be making the move, I mean even the look of my site has grown BLAH. I haven't kept some of the lists on the right up to date with respect to movies and books. You might even say I've been lazy.

I figured that writing it here for everyone to see would help, with the lazy part that is. Now I have to do it.

A Whack of Eagles

Eagle
Coming back from the gym this morning and I look out at the river and there is 5 Bald Eagles in various positions along the bank. I have seen dozens and dozens of them on the way up to Helmlock Valley to go skiing, but never more than a few on the Vedder/Chilliwack River System. I’ve seen them as pairs, or as loners out fishing but never as a “A Whack of Eagles", as I referred to them, so I had to go get the camera and snap a few photos.
Eagles
Of course I am pulled over at the side of the road taking pictures and EVERYONE has to pull over and scare the birds away. So, you will notice in the picture on the left there is one flying off at the top left of the picture and two still standing on the bank.

Art?

Lego BoxThought I'd throw up this picture, always had something for Lego, it has so many practical uses as well.

I had a good visit with my Sister this weekend. She popped out from the island to surprise my Mom for her birthday, which was supposed to happen the week before but was changed sue to the bad weather. So I got a chance to visit too, and it was fun, we all love you Val.

It was interesting scrapping off the cars Sunday morning, as the rain that fell during the night coated the cars. I ended up scraping a little hard on Mom's car as I took off a wiper blade with it. Which brings me to the present, having just returned from picking up a new one and installing it.

So Life Goes

Boeing
I saw this today and laughed my #@* off.

So life goes, I have managed to work off all that I gained over the holidays. You know the butter tarts, chocolate and other goodies. I figure it was about 8lbs, and I am actually up on it a few pounds so that is good.

Been doing some more fishing but have yet to get anything more on the beach, if I do pictures will follow.

Overall Happy Holidays

Xmas Tat
Well I must say that it was an overall happy holidays with Muckhead's family and friends. The kids were spoiled as usual, but that is kewl. Tyler got the new GameBoy DS , as well as a XBox Crystal Limited Edition System. Marlee got her Doll's she requested as well as a
Tattoo Limited Edition GameBoy Advanced SP that came with a Barbie game for her. Of course the kids got lots more stuff too but these stick out as the big ones.

Daddy's gift is seen at the right, another addition to my arm, it is a tribal tiger that runs the length of my inner forearm. Mommy got perfume and jewelry, the usual stuff as well and overall everyone was happy. This year we decided to give some very special gifts, that were more personal and closer to the heart. Shaaron is into Creative Memories Scrapbooking so we used our camera, printer, and her talents to make:

  • A Wedding Album for my Niece Raina and her new husband Rob
  • A Children’s Dedication Album for our very dear friend Tracy and her family
  • A Grand Children’s Album for Shaaron's Mom and Dad
  • A Xmas Memories Album for Shaaron's Aunt Evelyn that comes out every year from the prairies to spend Xmas with us
  • A Barbeque Memories Album for our dear friends Melvin and Cathy Dureen

This was truly the highlight (other than our kids), of what our Xmas was all about giving and seeing smiles on peoples faces, people who we love very much.
