My New Job

I enjoy the view and that I have a window, but it is the fact that I can open the window that makes me feel good. FRESH AIR...

So for any of those that really want to know where I work, or what I do, call me. I would be more than happy to discuss it in person even.

I have adapted a policy to not discuss my current workplace here. I will say that I am working in the IT industry, enjoying it VERY much and working with some of the best people I can. I am learning new skills, and have great opportunity to excel and take various directions internally within the company.

I am Happy and that is what counts, I enjoy coming to work and rarely get upset with anything that occurs there (not that I ever have at work).

Friends

It is nice to know that friendship exists in the world. Certain people in my life recently have made things become worth looking forward to. Certain connections that have been there but not known for an eternity are connecting.

Deep? Yes I guess life can get that way sometimes. Complicated? Very much so, but it is worth working through things, continuing on, learning, and strengthening because of the experience makes it all worthwhile.

Again, getting very spiritual here, but the two people involved will understand, and that is all that counts.

XP Problem?

I have a weird thing that has started happening just recently for no apparent reason when loading Windows XP. The wallpaper loads and then windows just sits there for about 60 seconds or more, before it decides it's ok to continue to load. Very strange!

Any ideas would be welcomed.....

SPAMED to Death

I am growing tired of all this SPAM. I run Eudora for an email client, just because I refuse to use a Microsoft client if any reason. Actually I like the product, but lately I am getting an enormous amount of Porn, Viagra, and regular shit mail. It is not just my uniserve account either any more. The filtering in Eudora can keep up with only about half of these.

Does anyone know of a good SPAM filter I can run on windows XP Pro?

Test Computer In Place

Picked up one of my old school computers from the outlaws. This one, a Pentium II 300 MHz with 128MBs of RAMM, was the one of that last ones used when I attended UCFV. My outlaws would always be involved in the yearly upgrade for a very good price (usually free), so when they upgradedrecently, they gave it (their old one), back to me. A friend gave me a KVM switch and cables so I am all set up with a test computer.

So most of the day was spend cleaning out under my desk, making room for the other computer, and then installing the cables, switch, and WIn2K on the 20GB drive I put in it.

I am however getting some ghosting on my main computer, with a shielded cable, so I think I might need to go to a higher quality, possibly active KVM.

Blasted

It was never said that this daily photo has to be a high quality one, so here, for a lack of originality I give you blasted.Blasted It is taken through my patio door in my office, might have been better if I pulled back the screen door. This is what I get from about 7:00am until about 2:00pm, beating down on my poor little office. That great big yellow dot in the sky that is hard to look at can be captured by a camera, unfortunately also it's effects are captured by my office. Time to put the air conditioner on, and it's only 9:30am.. GESH!

We decided to skip golf yesterday and instead took a drive out to Harrison Hot Springs, just a pleasant drive, didn't even get out of the car, but the breeze on the highway along with the sun was great. There is something about that effect, the wind blowing through the car and the sun beating down on your face through the sun roof, I can always snooze off ( No I wasn't driving).

Oh well, tonight is Men's Night at the Club so I have that to look forward to. Tonight they are holding a "Any Three Clubs in Your Bag" night. WHich should prove to be interesting. I am thinking of going with Driver 4iron and pitching wedge, since I can put with my 4 iron. Who knows, I am going to take my camera along with me so tomorrow's pic will be more interesting.
