Well today is a wonderful day, not a cloud in the sky. I get up cook breakfast for my family, and head off to the gym. There I spend over an hour working out and feeling rather satisfied I return home and check the mail. Hey, my SEP program cheque(s) are here, the entire month of March even, hey my month without any money has ended YEAH!
Well, a little kick in the groin, instead of paying me weekly like they usually do on the program the paid me this month in one lump sum. So, the tax man gets almost double his cut and leaves me still short for the month. LOVELY!
Ah the joy of being violated in the rectum! Maybe I should lubricate on a regular basis, life would at least be more comfortable.
Well the way things have been going it doesn't surprise me that I find out that my SEP cheque not only is late but was not even processed. What happened was I signed for my extension of 12 weeks and although approved, it was not processed, so I am back in the system but will now have to wait for my cheque.
It seems typical and not really surprising that something like this is happening at this point in my life. I don’t blame them at all, I think it is something in my name possibly, if it has my name on it then ignore, or better yet, loose it, it is not important.
Last month I knocked the SEP breakfast for being a waste of time, and little to no use to me. I stand corrected, and I take back most of what I said. I found this month’s to be more organized and you might say more formal. It was in a separate room for one, which made it seem that way. I made some contacts that may or may not work out for me in the future, one being a person that goes to businesses and organizes their inventory and such. The point here is I had the French toast, which was a treat compared to what I usually have, and I met more people. So it was a success. Plus I got to chat with Silverstr who I met up with after the breaky. So I officially "stand corrected" for the second time (for those like Shaaron who think I should admit it more :P ).
Busy this week at the SEP Workshop, so I can't promise much for updates, although you never know ( not that I rank so high on too many people's most online watched or read list).
So for tonight any ways, all I have is Dick!
Attended my first SEP Program breakfast this morning. Designed as a meeting amongst members of the program, it is supposed to be a place to network, be introduced to new members, and a chance to introduce one’s self. Well it was some of that, but to me, and for my business it was a lot less. Sure it is great to meet people, and I met a very nice person that is opening a dance studio (thinking of getting Marlee into dance lessons), but from what I saw it was a chance to do not much more than schmooze.
Maybe I am missing something, but I am just not into that. I like to talk, this chronicle is testament to that, and of course anyone who has met me knows it. Talking in my case usually has something behind it, like meaning, entertainment, value, etc. I guess I should wait until I have been to a few before passing judgment.
In keeping with tiggersol's challenge, here is my entry for the day.
I really don't know if this is incriminating or not, but it depicts what I have been up to in my spare time lately. It has been a while since my last post, so what else is new? I have been very busy, and I know it only takes a few minutes to post, but I procrastinate all day saying "right after I finish this I will update my blog". With any luck the photo challenge will get me posting on a regular basis for this month anyway.
Yesterday I presented in front of the SEP committee with success and TyMar Software is now officially approved by them. Just means business as usual for me, I hope to have the website all up and ready to go by the end of the month, so I have quite the workload from now until then. Had a pissing match with one of the committee members over my projected cash flow, but I managed to shut him up by telling him that the figures are realistic, and I thought that was what we were here for, to keep things real and make it work. Also watched a presentation given by a mutual friend of ours, that was quite impressive, but I will let him give any details.
Well back at it, going to get a bit more stuff done then heading out for 9 holes with Shaaron and Tyler, then back at it again.
Not really much new to say, hence the absence of updates. Been working away on some graphics for my apps, despite outsourcing some of it, I have some dialog graphics that I decided to do myself. Bought the rights to my domain name the other day(tymarsoft.com), and will be balancing code and the website over the next 3 weeks. I made arrangements last night to put it up.
Going to take my usual night off to go to Mens Night at the Club , so in all likely hood I will have some sort of report on how that went in tomorrow edition.
Of course I am gearing up for the grand finale, on the 8th when I go before the SEP committee and prove my worth. Well back at it...
Just got off the phone with HRDC, I have been approved for the SEP Program and will be signing the contract tomorrow morning. In light of this I am taking a break before the real work starts and going golfing, bosses orders!
Well off to pound the pavement today and the next week or so to do my Marketing Survey, may the force be with me!
Went to my meeting this morning with the SEP Program people, things went well and are progressing nicely. I am in the market surveying section and have the next few weeks cut out for me. Not much really to say other than that, marketing is not my favorite thing to do, but I have been very successful at getting support from people for things. I have a lot of business contacts where I have solicited for the Fish & Game club in the past, some of which I will be approaching as they are now perspective customers. Any tips and or guidance is welcomed and greatly appreciated.
Yesterday was rather uneventful, got my hair cut and went back for an adjustment with my glasses. They are not sitting right, and from what I have heard this is a normal process until you get them right. I returned this morning as well to get further adjustment, I was so fed up with them last night I just took them off. That is the wrong thing to do because I got a headache without them last night, and had to go through the procedure again this morning, then again I just could be whining a bit too much here :P They haven't moved since so I think they are just about there.
Well tonight is slot racing; I just finished getting Tyler's and My cars ready for the big race, as it is the start of another 8 week session. Should be fun, it always is, the only thing wrong lately is that since I have been helping in the process of getting some of the new guys running fast, they are beating me. I guess one thing could be said for me being fair at least.
The other thing tonight of course is the first game of the playoffs for the Canucks. I just will say that NOTHING would give me more pleasure ( with regards to hockey :) ), than having to eat some or all of my harsh words about the Canucks.
